Core Trucking Company of Texas is an asset-based local and regional drayage trucking company established in 1996.
For over a quarter century, Core has been dedicated to servicing our customer’s needs
through the Port of Houston container terminals.

To better serve our customers, Core is continuously focused on strategic growth and business development:
- 1996— Core founded as an asset-based local and regional drayage company. Serving both Bayport and Barbours Cut Container Terminals.
- 2013—Company owned chassis purchased to reduce reliability on Port/SSL equipment pool chassis.
- 2020—Core designed and built a 7.5-acre terminal including corporate offices and 12-bay transfer station on SH 146 in La Porte, TX directly between Bayport and Barbours Cut container terminals.
- 2021—Core Advantage, LLC. created to provide Core’s customers with non-asset-based logistics services extending Core’s reach to wider variety of trucking services across the country.
- 2022—Company owned tractors and chassis purchased specifically for hauling heavy containers with a GVW of up to 93,000 LBS.
- 2023—Additional tractors and chassis purchased that increases Core’s capacity to 100,000 LBS GVW.
- Future—Further expansion of our terminal will include additional truck and chassis parking, a laydown yard, additional transfer bays, as well as larger forklifts to increase transfer capabilities.
